A Technological Renaissance in Architectural Art Emerges

At a breakneck speed, we are being thrust into the 21st Century while witnessing a renaissance of artistic visions. These visions are being augmented and manifested by artists with “real time” access to technological innovation, new materials and collaborations between emerging networks of international artisans. Suddenly, museum quality artistic expressions are available for every aspect of building projects and design makeovers.

Reminiscent of the recent Art Deco Era, when buildings were adorned inside and out with art, this new millennium is unfolding with previously undreamed of potentials of easily accessing and incorporating a myriad of themes, materials and styles of architectural art into any building or design projects. An ever increasing selection of renown artist, Eileen BorgesonÕs Fine Art imagery is now available as floor, wall and ceiling art. New architectural art editions of Eileen’s recently licensed Cybernetic Circuitry, Virtress and Metrix images will be featured at the Global Gaming Expo and the HD Boutique Show this month.

Virtress and Metrix made their premier as Ceiling Panels at the Global Gaming Expo in Las Vegas Sept. 13th-15th with Interior Systems. These images will also be available as framed art, with a hand painted version of Virtress ready for delivery as a 2' x 2' panel. Metrix’s relief design is a glimpse into a future of patterned tiling. By just changing the tiles’ orientation, a vast array of design pattern possibilities opens up. Metrix has been said to have a certain “Frank Lloyd Wright” look about it.

Interior Systems is continuing to expand their selection of Eileen’s imagery and offers access to her for custom work using their computerized routing systems to create art for ceilings.

At the HD Boutique Show in Miami Sept. 14th-15th, Wylie Systems featured Eileen’s Cybernetic Circuitry in laser cut metal form and Virtress in Terrazzo incorporating laser cut acrylic. These, along with many other of her images, can be incorporated into architectural designs in numerous ways, such as; ceilings, wall hangings, railings, floors and sculptures.

The Terrazzo Virtress was last seen at the AIA show displayed by Sherwin-Williams’ General Polymers in Las Vegas in May. Another version of Virtress in Terrazzo was also unveiled by Heritage Glass at the AIA event. Wylie Systems laser cut both of the forms for the Terrazzo. One was in Stainless Steel and the other in Acrylic.

Eileen Borgeson is very prolific in as many styles of art as the mediums she uses. She creates in two, three and Holographic dimensions. Her art editions can be found in Museums, Corporate and Private Collections in over 50 countries. EileenÕs Gold and Silver “Muses of Creativity” have become recognized as global icons. Given by Promax International, nearly 10,000 Muse Awards have been presented to media giants, service organizations and individuals in the television and electronic communication industry over the last 11 years.

Eileen personally collaborated with Erté, considered the “Father of Art Deco”, during his last 7 years. She was interpreting his designs into illuminated carved crystal editions. She has been commissioned to create custom pieces for many individuals, including: B. B. King, Elton John, Dalai Lama, Ronald Reagan, Hugh Hefner & Aerosmith. Her interpretations of many Warner Bros., Disney, Maxfield Parrish and John Lennon images were published in numerous “fine art” glass editions.

E Art Gallery, Inc., Eileen’s licensing agent, has established a network of licensed alliances enabling architects and designers to access Eileen’s art/abilities for architectural art accents and building components.

Eileen continues her search for the latest in new mediums and technological advances. Through an alliance with Holographics.com and Jeff Allen, a pioneer of Holography, Eileen now offers new vistas of holographic imagery and optical effects into her mixed-media art. Chronicles of Eileen’s art and styles are showcased in E Art Gallery’s online gallery, www.EileenBorgeson.com.

“Art Themed Architecture” is destined to became commonplace. Eileen has opened her portfolio of art imagery and styles to architects and designers and continues to create new imagery and sculpture for architectural art. As we venture into this new millennium, art will continue to be more prevalent in every aspect of our life. Be it the art on our walls, the environments we walk through, the floors we walk on, the ceilings we walk under and now É through holography É the walls we’ll walk through and the windows in which weÕll take flight.
